ÜberDeutsche has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Your progress and your photo stay on your phone. To sell the subscription we use RevenueCat, and Apple or Google take the payment.

1Who is responsible

UberTuga

Portugal

contact@uberdeutsche.app

UberTuga is the controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the app ÜberDeutsche and the website uberdeutsche.app.

2What stays on your phone

The app keeps the following in its own storage on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it.

Deleting the app deletes all of this.

3The subscription: RevenueCat

To sell the subscription and to know whether it is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a service of RevenueCat, Inc., USA. RevenueCat works for us as a processor, under a data processing agreement.

When the app starts, and when you buy or restore a subscription, RevenueCat receives:

We use this only to give you the subscription you bought (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). RevenueCat may process the data in the USA; the data processing agreement provides the safeguards the GDPR requires for transfers outside the EU. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Payment: Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) take the payment, under their own privacy policies. We never see your payment details, your name or your Apple or Google account.

4Corrections over the air: Expo

When it starts, the app asks the update service of Expo (650 Industries, Inc., USA) whether there are corrections to its texts. The request contains the app's project ID, a random installation ID, the version and platform of the app, and, like every request on the internet, your IP address. It contains nothing that names you. We use it to send out corrections quickly (our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Expo's privacy policy.

Without a connection, the app works as before and sends nothing.

5This website

uberdeutsche.app is served by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). When you open a page, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the request (page, time, browser) to deliver the page and to protect it from attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

The website sets no cookies, has no analytics and loads nothing from other services: its fonts and pictures come from this site. The look you choose here is kept in your browser's local storage and never leaves it.

6When you write to us

If you write to contact@uberdeutsche.app, we use your address and your message to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once the matter is closed, unless the law requires us to keep them. The mail reaches us through Cloudflare's email routing and is kept in our mailbox at Google (Gmail).

7Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable form, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live.

Most of what the app knows never reaches us. For your purchase data, write to us; your purchase history is also in your Apple or Google account.

8Changes

When the app or the law changes, this page changes with it. The date at the top tells you which version you are reading.
